Hi, I'm Janina, the founder and designer of Riør Design. I'm German, but I was living in Ireland when I started this little brand in 2020, with one dream: to capture the beauty of a flower in jewelry you can wear every day, and keep forever.

A letter from me
I've loved flowers and pearls for as long as I can remember. As a little girl in Germany they were my favourite things in the world, and somehow that never changed.
For many years I worked in marketing. I enjoyed it, but there was always a quiet voice telling me I was meant to create something of my own. In 2020, while living in Ireland, I finally listened. Riør Design was born with a sketchbook, a lot of courage and a very small first collection.
From the very beginning I wanted to make jewelry that feels special but never out of reach: little luxuries you don't keep in a box for special occasions, but wear on an ordinary Tuesday because they make you smile. That's why we release small, carefully curated mini-collections, often in a single colour, so every piece has room to shine.
Today, more than 150,000 women around the world wear Riør Design. We're still a small, family-run business. I still draw every single design myself, and we still read every message you send us.

Our journey
From a small idea in Ireland to jewelry boxes around the world.
Riør Design is born in Ireland
Rior Design began in Ireland, with our first pieces finding their way to customers in Ireland and Germany, and daily trips to the local post office to send each order on its way.
Back to my roots
We open our first warehouse in Germany, where I’m originally from, and begin shipping to France—saying goodbye to the daily post office trips along the way.
Paris Fashion Week
Our designs take part in Paris Fashion Week, a dream come true. Watch the video
Across the ocean
With our new overseas warehouse, we start shipping to the US, the UK, Australia, Singapore and beyond.

Every Riør piece starts with a pencil and a blank page.

Why mother-of-pearl
The soft, glowing heart of our flower designs.
Each flower is carefully carved by hand from genuine mother-of-pearl.
Nature makes every shell different, so no two flowers are ever exactly alike.
Unlike real flowers, ours never wilt: a forever reminder of a moment you love.
Why copper and real gold
The beautiful science behind our shine.
Copper has been treasured by jewelers for thousands of years. It's strong, yet soft enough to hold the finest details: the gentle curve of a petal, the tiny setting around a sparkling stone. That's why it is the heart of every Riør piece.
Copper lets us bring even the most delicate sketches to life, exactly as they were drawn.
Its natural warmth beneath the gold gives our pieces a richer, deeper shine.
Each piece is thickly plated with real gold and sealed with a tarnish-resistant coating.
Lightweight and comfortable from morning to night. Every piece goes through several quality checks, is regularly lab-tested for lead, nickel and cadmium, and is backed by our 365-day warranty.

What our customers ask before their first order.
Is the mother-of-pearl real?
Yes. Each flower is hand-carved from genuine, natural mother-of-pearl, which is why every piece is subtly unique.
Do you have a warranty?
Yes. Every piece comes with a 365-day warranty, so you can wear it every day, worry-free.
What if I change my mind?
You have 30 days to return new and unworn pieces for a refund. Just email us at info@riordesign.com first.
What if a piece arrives defective?
We check every piece before it ships, but if something isn't right, email info@riordesign.com with a photo and we'll resolve it as quickly as possible.
Is your jewelry tested for safety?
Yes. Our jewelry is regularly tested by leading laboratories for lead, nickel and cadmium, and has passed every test.
Can I wear it in the shower?
We recommend taking your jewelry off before showering, swimming, exercising or using hand sanitiser, and storing it in its pouch away from humidity. It will stay shiny much longer.
Is it gift-ready?
Yes. Every piece arrives in our signature velvet pouch, and you can add a gift box at checkout.
